Pascal Derycke is a business and functional analyst with extensive expertise in ICT project management, web communication technologies, and data interoperability. Holding a PhD in Physics, he has a background in metrology and quantitative sciences. Over the past 20 years, he has contributed to numerous ICT projects with a focus on real-time monitoring, statistics, and data-driven decision-making.
His achievements include the design of GIS and CMS systems for marine data access (Marine-Analyst, European Atlas of the Seas) and the development of INSPIRE-compliant web services for environmental data, and statistical processing applications. He conceived and developped the NETKIT CMS, coded in Python, to enable scalable and maintainable web content management. He has also worked on statistical processing applications for research and won multiple innovation awards in web and data science. In the health domain, Pascal designed HealthDCAT-AP for the European Health Data Space, developed during the HealthDATA.EU pilot project, strengthening metadata interoperability and discoverability across health data catalogues. Passionate about technology and collaboration, Pascal is dedicated to fostering, AI, interoperability and open data initiatives in health and environmental domains. |
